These stories attempt to portray the loving raising of children,
including spankings as and when deserved. Charlie and Lisa Clemente
and their twin children Jennifer and Robin appear in almost all
of these stories. Robin and Jennifer's biological mother died when
they were three, and Charlie married Lisa several years later. The
twins are shown at various ages from about five through sixteen.
Lisa's sister Joan is married to Jack, who is principal of the local
elementary school.
