It was October. The girls were six. It was not long after their Daddy married Lisa, whom they now called Mommy. They were adjusting pretty well to having a mother again. But something was bothering Robin.

They were in separate first grade classes, and Robin didn't like that. She liked it better last year when she and Jenn had been in the same kindergarten class. She felt like she never saw her sister anymore, except at home, and even then, there was something always going on.

That's why Robin was so excited when she found out that Jennifer's class was going on the trip to the Pumpkin Farm the same day as she was. Not only that, but they would be on the same bus.

Robin climbed aboard the bus, her partner already on, when she saw Jennifer, sitting in a seat by herself. Robin went immediately over to her sister and plunked herself down on the seat.

"Hey, Jenn!" Robin said and smiled.

"Robin, you can't sit here. My partner, Susie, is sitting here. Besides, you have to sit with your own class," Jennifer said sourly.

Just then, Robin's teacher, Mrs. Pritchard, said, "Come, Robin, sit next to Missy."

Robin went to the back of the bus, where Missy sat, and sat down, sadly. She was so upset that Jenn didn't want to sit with her, even if she couldn't anyway. It hurt what Jenn had said. Missy asked what was wrong, but Robin just shook her head and said, "nothing."

When they got to the Pumpkin Farm, Robin tried to walk next to Jennifer, but her teacher kept shepherding her back to their class.

"Robin, I don't want to tell you again. You are to hold Missy's hand and stay with our class."

"Yes, ma'am," Robin replied.

When the classes were sitting around the baby chicks' pen, Robin tried to get into a spot next to Jennifer, but she couldn't. Jenn just stared at her. Robin was very upset.

At the line to the hay ride, Robin turned to Mrs. Pritchard and said, "Please, I don't want to go on. I'm scared!"

Mrs. Pritchard said, "Oh, honey, don't be silly, it's a lot of fun. Come on, I'll hold your hand."

Robin shrugged out of her teacher's hand. "No, I really don't wanna go. I'm afraid."

Robin's teacher started to lose her patience. "Now, Robin, I let you skip the pony ride because you were afraid, but all the other girls and boys loved it. You even said it looked like fun and that next year you might want to try it. This ride is very simple. Come on, now!"

"NO, please!" Robin begged.

Mrs. Pritchard looked around. She spied her teacher's assistant, Ms. Barbara, and called her over. She explained the situation to Barbara and put Robin's hands in her assistant's and walked away.

Barbara could tell Robin was very unhappy. She looked around as all the children started climbing aboard the hay ride. Then she saw Jennifer, Robin's twin sister.

"Look, Robin! There's your sister up there. Come on, let's go sit with her," Barbara said.

Robin looked up and saw Jenn already sitting on the hay truck. She wanted to get up there and sit next to Jennifer so bad, but something was holding her back. She was just too frightened.

Barbara called to Jennifer, and said, "Maybe you could convince your sister to get on, Jennifer. Tell her how much fun it is!"

Jenn got up and went to the edge and yelled down, "Robin, come on! It'll be fun! Don't be such a baby, for crying out loud! You're embarrassing me."

Then, as quickly as she got up, Jennifer went back to sit down with her partner, Susie, and the rest of her friends.

Robin just stood there, trying not to cry. When Ms. Barbara helped her up onto the hay truck, Robin didn't protest. She was too busy thinking about how much she hated her sister right then. And what she would do to get back ather.

Her moment came later, right before it was time to leave the farm. They had seen and pet all the animals, watched the super pig show, gone on all the rides, and even milked a cow. The only thing left was to pick out their pumpkins and get on the bus to go back to school.

Robin watched Jennifer trying to find just the right pumpkin. They had both told their Daddy they would get the best one. Robin continued to watch. As soon as she saw her sister's face light up on spotting one, Robin ran over and grabbed it before Jennifer could.

Jennifer didn't see who it was, but yelled out, "Hey, that one's mine!"

"No, it's mine, sorry!"

Jennifer looked up at the familiar voice. "Robin! I saw it first, let go!" Jenn screamed.

"No, I got it!" Robin said, smiling.

The girls continued to fight over the pumpkin. Robin, realizing she was losing her grip, pushed Jennifer out of the way. Jenn fell down. "Ow, Robin, I'm telling!" Jennifer wailed.

Just then, Jennifer's teacher, Mrs. Kaplan, came running over. "What's going on here, girls?" She saw Jenn on the ground, and held out her hand for Jennifer to reach. She pulled her up. "Jennifer? Are you all right?"

Jenn brushed herself off and checked for cuts; but there weren't any. "I'm all right, Mrs. Kaplan. My sister shoved me. And she took my pumpkin!" Jennifer whined.

Mrs. Kaplan looked at Robin. "Is that true?"

Mrs. Pritchard came over to see what the fuss was about. Jennifer and Mrs. Kaplan filled her in. She looked at Robin and frowned. "Young lady, what has gotten into you today? Now, you give that pumpkin back to your sister, and find yourself another one!"

"But Mrs. Pritchard, I wanted this one!" Robin whined.

"Now! Before I change my mind about letting you get one at all. Imagine! Fighting on a class trip. I'm ashamed," Mrs. Pritchard scolded Robin.

"I'm pretty surprised at you, myself, Jennifer," Mrs. Kaplan agreed. "All right now, you got your pumpkin. Go pay for it, it's time to get on the bus!"

Jennifer sneered at Robin while they were on line for paying. She couldn't believe it had been Robin who got her into trouble; and she hadn't even done anything. Robin was just as angry at Jennifer.

Before getting on the bus, Robin saw another chance. She went over to Jennifer and pushed her. Jenn jumped back up and pushed Robin down, too. The two pushed each other and grappled, and rolled around on the ground, until Ms. Barbara and Mrs. Pritchard pulled them apart.

"Girls! That's enough!" Mrs. Pritchard yelled.

"Again, Jennifer?" Mrs. Kaplan said. "You two are going to be very unhappy when we get back to school."

"That's right," Mrs. Pritchard chimed in. "Cause as soon as we get back, you're going right to the principal's office. And this might just be your last class trip for the year."

On the way home, Ms. Barbara had the honor of sitting in between two very unhappy girls. Susie got to sit with two of her friends, and Missy got to sit with two of her friends. Robin and Jennifer, were stuck sitting up front, separated by the teacher's assistant. Neither looked at the other all the way back to school.~~~~~~~

Upon arrival, Mrs. Pritchard asked Ms. Barbara to take the twins to see Mr. Levine, the principal. They started to walk there, but Jennifer cried, "No, wait. First, I need something from my bookbag."

"I'm sorry, sweetie. Your teacher told me to take you straight to the office. Whatever it is, you can get it later!" Barbara said.

"No, I really need it now," Jenn said. She looked at Robin and pleaded with her eyes.

Robin knew, of course, what Jenn was referring to. She needed to change. Robin tried to think how mean she wanted to be. But she knew that Jenn was wet, and probably very uncomfortable. She also knew that they were being sent to the principal. For the very first time, in their young life. And that he happened to be their uncle. So they were probably in VERY BIG trouble.

"She's telling the truth, Ms. Barbara. She really does need to do something before we go. It's kind of important," Robin said.

Barbara took Jennifer to her classroom and let her get what she needed out of her bookbag. Then she took her to the nurse and waited outside for Jenn to change. When she was done, she met up with them outside the main office.

Jennifer grinned at Robin and said, "Thanks."

"Whatever," Robin answered. She had been nice for a minute, but she was still very angry with her sister.~~~~~~~~~

After the secretary led Barbara and the twins into the office, she closed the door and walked out.

Barbara said, "Mr. Levine. This is Robin and Jennifer Clemente. Robin is in Mrs. Pritchard's class and Jennifer is in Mrs. Kaplan's class. They are in trouble for fighting on our class trip to the Pumpkin Farm."

"Yes, I know the twins. Fighting? On a trip? That's terrible. Okay, Barbara, you can go. I'm sure Mrs. Pritchard could use your help," Mr. Levine said.

Barbara turned to go. "Yes, of course, Mr. Levine. Oh, and both teachers said they would call you with the details as soon as they got a chance."

She smiled and left. Jack went over to the door and locked it. Then he took Robin and Jennifer's hands and led them to the big, black, leather sofa. He sat them down. Then he pulled over one of his visitors' chairs and sat in it, staring at them.

"Okay, girls, who's going to tell me what happened today?" he asked, sternly.

Both Robin and Jennifer were scared. They had never been sent to the office before. They had, though, on many occasions, been in trouble, with their new uncle. But they had been told that at school, he was their principal. Neither of them were sure how to act.

"So, you two were fighting?" Jack prodded.

"Yes, sir," answered Jennifer.

"Yes," echoed Robin.

"I see. And are you supposed to do that?" Jack asked.

Both girls shook their heads no.

"Well, I'm afraid you're both going to have to be punished. Fighting, whether it's at home, or school, or on the playground, or on a class trip, is just not acceptable. And you girls should know that. I'm very disappointed in you, Robin. And you too, Jennifer!" Jack said, looking back and forth between the two girls.

"Uh, are you going to send a note home to our parents?" Robin asked, uncertainly.

Jack shook his head. "Robin, you know what happens when you misbehave."

"But, Mr. Levine!" Jenn cried.

Jack looked around. "Do you two girls see anyone else here? I don't. And when we're alone, I am your uncle. And you two know what happens when you misbehave for me, don't you?"

This time, both girls nodded.

"Tell me," Jack said.

"We get a spanking," Jennifer answered.

Jack nodded. "That's right. Okay, Jennifer, you sit there. Robin, come with me."

Robin looked back at Jenn, as her uncle led her to his desk. He put her in between his knees, and said, "Tell me what you did wrong."

"I, uh, I was fighting, sir," Robin cried.

Jack nodded and said, "Yes, you were. And that is very naughty to do. You must never do it again. Especially on a trip."

Jack pulled Robin's pants and panties down and lifted her over his lap. He began to spank, gently at first, but then spanking harder and harder, until Robin laid limply over his lap. Her bottom was bright red. She was hysterically crying. Jack lifted her down and held her to him.

While Robin cried against his shoulder, Jack reached down and pulled up her panties and pants. Then he put his big arms around her and held her to him. He pulled her back, and looked into her face, "You know I love you, Robin. But fighting at school, or on a trip, is just not acceptable. Do you understand me?"

Robin nodded, and said, "Yes, sir."

"Good. Now go lay down on the couch. Jennifer, its your turn. Come here, please!"

Jennifer got up and came to stand in front of her uncle.

"Do you have anything to say before I begin?" Jack asked.

Jenn was too scared to say a word, not even the word, "no". So she just shook her head.

"Very well, then," Jack said. He pushed Jennifer's pants and panties down and lifted her up over his lap. He started to spank, and lecture. <Smack!> You will not fight <Smack!>, with your sister <Smack!>, or with anyone else<Smack!> , at school <Smack!>, or especially not on a trip <Smack!>. Do I make myself clear? <Smack!> I don't want to have to do this again!" <Smack!> <Smack!>

"Yessss!" Jenn cried.

"Okay, then," Jack said. He stood Jenn up and pulled up her pants. She was crying hysterically as he lifted her into his lap. She cried over his shoulder, and he patted her back. "It's okay now. It's all over, now. Shh, shh! I love you, baby."

Jenn smiled through her tears. Just recently, in fact, her uncle had started calling her by that nickname that her father always called her. It made her feel very loved.

Jack stood up, with Jennifer still in his arms, and went to sit next to Robin on the sofa. He let Robin snuggle in, too.

"You know, I love you, girls," he told them.

"We love you, too, Uncle Jack," Jenn said.

"I'm sorry we fighted," Robin said.

"Fought," he corrected.

"Yeah, fought. I'm sorry we fought, Uncle Jack," Robin said.

Jack made the girls look at each other. "You know, you owe the apology to each other and not to me."

Jack got up then, and put the girls back on the couch, sitting next to each other. "You two can do that, while I call your father."

"What? Why are you calling Daddy?" Jenn asked, alarmed.

"Yeah, please don't tell Daddy, Uncle Jack. You already punished us," Robin cried.

Jack went back over and sat facing the girls again. "Girls, that was your punishment from the school. You're also going to be suspended. Those are the rules. When you fight, you get suspended."

"Suspended? What's that?" Robin asked.

"It's when you are sent home from school, and made to stay there and you can't come back until I say so," Jack explained, patiently. He knew the girls would be upset. He had given them two very hard spankings. But he hoped he wouldn't have to do it again. He hoped they would learn from them.

"But, Uncle Jack? How could the spankings be from the school? Are you allowed to do that?" Jennifer asked.

"Well, not officially," Jack smiled. "Your official record will show that you got a school paddling. With this," Jack went over to his desk drawer and pulled out a wooden paddle. The thing was huge and had holes drilled into it.

The girls saw that thing and their eyes opened wide.

"Now, I expect the two of you to apologize to each other while I call your father, at work," Jack expressed.

The girls talked quietly while their uncle was on the phone. They couldn't believe the size of that paddle, and were actually glad that their uncle was the principal, and had only used his hand. Even though it had hurt a lot.

They didn't apologize, not yet. Robin asked, "Jenn, do you think Daddy will spank us again when we get home?"

"I don't know, Robin. Usually he doesn't."

"Yeah, but usually we're spanked at Uncle Jack's house, and then Daddy says we've already been punished. But this might be different; this was at school."

"Well, I don't know, then. But it was your fault, Robin. I mean, why did you start to fight me?" Jenn asked.

"I was mad at you," Robin stated, simply.

"Why? What'd I do?" Jenn asked.

"You were mean to me, on the bus. You wouldn't let me sit with you," Robin said.

"But you couldn't anyway, Robin. You had to sit with your partner. That's why you took my pumpkin and pushed me two times?"

Even to Robin, that sounded dumb. "Yeah, well, you also were mean to me at the hay ride. I was scared to go on, and you made fun of me."

"Oh. Well, I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to do it. Okay?" Jenn said.

"Okay. And I'm sorry I pushed you twice, and got you into trouble," Robinsaid.

"Well, I guess it's okay. You just better hope that Daddy doesn't punish us again when we get home."~~~~~~~~~~~

While the two girls made up, Jack tried to get ahold of Charlie. He called his place of business.

"Foodtown Merrick, may I help you?" a voice said.

"Yes, Charlie Clemente please. This is Jack Levine," Jack stated.

"Jack? It's Lisa."

"Lisa? Hi, why are you answering the phones?"

"Well, it's pretty busy out there, so they put the courtesy girl on register, and asked me to answer the phones from back here bookkeeping. What's up? What do you need Charlie for?"

"Oh, well, Lisa, I'm afraid the twins are in trouble."

"Trouble? What'd they do?" Lisa asked.

Jack filled his sister in law in. She frowned and told Jack Charlie would be there in a little while. After she hung up the phone, she called Charlie to her office.

He knocked and she buzzed him in. She let him into the private room, for bookkeepers and managers only. Charlie leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"I could get used to you working here," he said.

"Honey!" Lisa said.

"What? Lisa, what's wrong?"

Lisa filled him in on Jack's phone call. Now it was Charlie's turn to frown.

"Fighting? Robin and Jennifer? With each other? That doesn't sound like my two good, little girls. I wonder what's going on with them," Charlie said.

"I don't know, hon. But I told Jack you'd be there to pick them up. If you can't go, I guess I could."

Charlie looked at his watch. "No, I guess I can take lunch now. I'll see you later, at home," he said, and leaned back down to kiss Lisa goodbye. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The girls sat on the sofa, waiting for their father. Their teachers had sent their homework for that day and the next day. Jack had told them they were pretty lucky; he was only suspending them for one day.

The secretary buzzed Charlie in. Jack stood up to shake hands with his brother in law. Charlie looked down at the twins and frowned.

"Girls!" he said.

"Hi, Daddy," said Robin.

"Hi, Daddy," Jenn said. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hi, Daddy," said Robin.

"Hi, Daddy," Jenn said.

"Charlie!" Jack said, as he walked over to shake his brother-in-law's hand. Jack took Charlie aside and explained the circumstances of the twins' little escapade and of the punishments they received.

The girls sat frozen on the couch. Aside from hello, their father hadn't said a word to them. Finally, Charlie signed some papers, stood up, and shook Jack's hand again.

"Okay, Jack. Thanks. I'm sorry the girls were trouble. They will be completely different when they return to school in two days. Robin, Jennifer, get your stuff and let's go," Charlie stated.

The twins grabbed their bookbags and jackets and turned to follow their dad out of the office. Then Robin ran back and hugged her uncle. "I really am sorry, Uncle Jack."

Jack hugged his niece back and said, "Okay, honey, I know you are. You've been punished, so as far as I'm concerned, it's dropped. But you may need to apologize again to your parents."

"Yes, sir. Bye!" Robin called, as she followed Charlie to his truck.

"Okay, girls, get in. Later, we have a lot of talking to do. For now, though, you're going to have to come back to work with me. Have you eaten?"

"Yes, Daddy, on the trip," Jenn answered.

"Okay, well, I haven't. And this is my lunch break. I'll grab a bite and you can hang out with Mommy until she goes home," their daddy explained.

The girls looked at each other and smiled. They loved going to their daddy's work.

Charlie caught their smiles and said, "And this is not for fun. You two are in big trouble. Do you understand me?"

"Yes, Daddy," Robin answered.

Jenn nodded. "Yes, sir."

Charlie got a few slices of pizza and brought them with him back to Foodtown. He knocked on the bookkeeper's door and Lisa buzzed them in. He put one slice on the table in front of Lisa. The girls followed behind him.

"Hi, Mommy," Robin said, shyly.

"Hi, Mommy," Jenn said.

"Girls," Lisa said, biting into the pizza. She turned to Charlie. "Thanks, hon."

It was very tight, but with the girls sitting on milk crates, they all managed to fit into the tiny bookkeeping office. Robin and Jennifer sat gingerly on the milk crates. It hurt their bottoms, but they didn't dare complain. No one said a word while Charlie and Lisa ate their lunch.

Finally, Charlie looked at his watch, and said, "Okay, I have about ten minutes left. Should we talk now, or wait `til we get home?" He looked at Lisa and then down at the twins.

Robin and Jennifer shrugged their shoulders. Charlie looked back at Lisa. She spoke up, "Well, I think we should find out what exactly happened." She turned to the girls and asked them to explain.

Robin started. She told her parents how she had been feeling, and how upset Jennifer had made her. She told them that she knew it was wrong to push Jenn, but that her anger made her do it.

"I know it was wrong, Daddy, Mommy. I'm sorry," Robin said.

"And Uncle Jack gave us both spankings, Daddy, so you don't have to," Jenn added.

Charlie smiled at that. "Oh, well, thank you, honey." He turned to Robin and pulled her close to him. "Sweetie, I'm sorry you've been upset at being separated from Jennifer. I think, though, that you should have told us. It would have saved you a lot of trouble."

"Yes, Daddy. You're right," Robin admitted.

Lisa said to Robin, "Honey, you need to tell Daddy and I when things are bothering you. You, too, Jenn. Okay?"

Robin nodded. "Yes, Mommy. I will, I promise."

Charlie said, "Well, that's just one issue. The other is, you two know better than to fight. I know Uncle Jack punished you, but I don't think I can just let this go."

"Oh, Daddy, please don't spank us again. It really hurts," Jenn said, jumping up and rubbing her bottom.

Robin nodded. Charlie looked at Lisa and she just looked into his eyes. "Well, I have to get back to work. But we will talk more about this later. And you two are not here to have fun, do you understand? You're here, because you're suspended. You can work on homework while Mommy does her work. Okay?"

"Yes, Daddy," Robin said.

"Yes, sir," said Jenn.

Charlie leaned down and gave Lisa a peck on the cheek. "Call me before you leave, okay, hon?" he asked. Lisa got off at 3:30, while Charlie had to work until 6:00.

Once he was gone, Lisa turned to the twins and said, "So, girls, what am I going to do with you?"

The twins looked at each other; they weren't sure what Lisa meant. "Daddy said we should do our homework," Jenn suggested.

"Yes, but that's not what I meant, baby. I meant, what am I going to do about your behavior at school today?" Lisa asked them.

"Oh, I don't know," Robin answered.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No more was said, as Lisa had work to get back to. The twins sat there and worked on their homework for a little bit. At times, when the managers came in, they had to wait outside the office. Charlie was working in a nearby aisle and saw the twins. They waved to him, and he waved them over.

Robin and Jenn walked slowly over to where Charlie was stacking boxes and boxes of Chips Ahoy(TM) cookies. "Hi, girls, how are you doing?"

"We're okay, Daddy."

"Yeah, we're fine, Daddy," Robin said.

Just then, one of the managers came over to confer with Charlie. He looked down at the girls and smiled. He said to Charlie, "Yours?"

"Yes," Charlie answered, smiling. Even though he was angry at the twins, he couldn't help but feel protective and proud of them. After all, they were his daughters.

The manager, Ralph said, "Cute. But twins! Boy, I bet they're a handful."

"Yes," Charlie agreed. "You could say that."

Ralph finished explaining to Charlie what he wanted him to do next, and then walked away. Charlie leaned down and put his arms around both of the girls. The girls hugged their daddy back. They thought maybe they had been forgiven.

Upon spotting them, Lisa ran over and said, "There you two are. I was looking for you." She screamed at them. "I told you to stay right outside the door."

Charlie put his hand on Lisa's arm. "I'm sorry, hon. That was my fault. I saw the girls standing there and called them over."

Lisa frowned, but then smiled. "Oh, okay, hon. It's just that... never mind. I'm glad they were with you."

Charlie said, "Yes, but you know we do need to set some ground rules. Maybe I should take another quick break and we should all have a discussion. I don't think this can wait until we get home."

"Come on," Charlie said, ushering the girls toward the manager's office.

There was more room in this office, and Charlie and Lisa each sat on chairs facing the twins. Charlie looked at Lisa and then began, "Girls, I still need to talk to Mommy about what your punishment will be, but I want you to promise me that there will be no more fighting."

Robin and Jennifer both nodded. "Yes, Daddy, we promise," Jenn said.

"I promise, Daddy. I won't hit or push Jenn anymore," Robin said, crying.

"Okay. And no wondering off. I shouldn't have called you over like that. I didn't know that Mommy told you to stay by the door. All right?" Charlie asked sternly.

Again, the girls nodded. Lisa looked at the clock and said, "All right, girls, kiss Daddy goodbye. You and I are going home. We'll see Daddy again at dinnertime."

Charlie hugged and kissed both girls and sent them on their way, with a light smack to their bottoms. The girls grinned because they knew their daddy was just teasing them, then. They also knew, though, that there was a chance of a real spanking from him that night.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When they got home, Lisa made both girls take a little nap. The trip and their subsequent spankings had worn them out. When they woke up, Lisa made them a snack and they worked on their homework some more.

After a while, Jenn said, "Mommy, we did enough work for one day, can we watch t.v. now?"

Lisa frowned. "I don't think so, young lady. You have been suspended from school. There will be no tv for the rest of the week."

"The rest of the week? But we're only suspended for one day!" Robin whined.

"Excuse me? Is that whining, Robin Elizabeth? Maybe you need to have another nap. I said, there would be no tv this week, and that's that," Lisa said, sternly.

But the girls didn't know when to quit. "But Daddy said you still had to discuss what our punishment would be. How could you just decide no tv like that? That's not fair!" Jenn shouted.

"Jennifer Lynn, there will be no shouting, do you understand me, young lady? If you speak to me like that again, I will wash your mouth out with soap, and you will find yourself in the corner, as well."

"That's not fair," Jennifer said, folding her arms across her chest, and pouting. You're not even my real mother!"

Lisa was too hurt to react. She didn't know how to handle what Jenn had said. Robin stood, open-mouthed, staring at Jennifer. She couldn't believe her sister had said that. Only a month before, the twins had decided to call Lisa, "Mommy". They had talked and decided that even though Lisa had yelled at them, it was because she cared, and had started calling her "Mommy".

Robin went over to Jennifer and pushed her. "I can't believe you just said that, Jenn."

Jenn jumped up and pushed Robin back. "Stop! I've had it with you pushing me today, Robin!"

Before Lisa could react, the twins were rolling on the dining room floor, pushing and shoving each other and pulling on each other's hair.

Lisa went over and stepped in between them. "THAT IS IT, STOP IT THISINSTANT!"

Both girls froze. They looked up at Lisa. Her face was bright red, and Jenn thought maybe she could see steam coming from Lisa's ears. They sat up. Then Lisa pulled them up and gave them one smack each on the seat of their pants.

"Robin, go to your room! Jennifer! Go to my bedroom. And you will each stay there until Daddy gets home!" Lisa screamed.

Neither of them moved. Lisa said, "NOW!"

They each took one last look at Lisa and went to the rooms she told them to go to. Lisa sat down in one of the kitchen chairs, and put her head on the table. She stayed there like that until Charlie got home.

He came in and saw Lisa with her head on the table. "Hon, what's wrong?" Charlie asked, sitting down beside her. When Lisa looked up, he could see she had been crying. "Lisa? What's wrong, honey?"

Charlie put his arms around his wife, and she cried into his shoulder. Charlie let her cry for a few minutes, then pulled her up and looked into her eyes. "Lisa, come on, honey, tell me what's wrong. Is it the twins? Did they do something else?"

Finally, Lisa pulled away from Charlie's chest and quietly told him about the rest of the afternoon. As soon as Charlie heard about the twins' behavior and what Jennifer had said, he got very angry. He stood up and was about to go barging into his bedroom, when Lisa stopped him.

"Charlie! We've only been married a few months. You know they needed time to adjust," Lisa said.

"I don't care, Lisa. Jennifer is six years old. She has no right to speak to you that way. I'm going to punish her."

"Charlie, I agree she needs to be punished for her behavior, Robin, too. But not what Jenn said. She can't help it if that's how she feels. And besides, she's right, I'm not her real mother."

"Yes, you are!" Charlie said kindly. He stood up and put his hands on her shoulders. He rubbed them for a few minutes. "Well, they're both getting spankings. I can't believe they fought after they promised us they'd be good. I don't care that Jack already spanked them today. They are going to be very sorry in a few minutes."

"But Charlie, remember why you're spanking them. It's not because of what they did at school today. They have to know that. Remind them what they promised and how they broke their promise and that's why they're being punished," Lisa said thoughtfully.

"Well, Mrs. Clemente, I believe you are right. How did you learn to be such a great mother?" Charlie asked, smiling.

"I learned from the best father," Lisa answered. She was beginning to feel a lot better. She knew they still had to talk about what Jennifer had said, but for right now, she knew that things would be all right.~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Attacking the lesser of two evils, Charlie went to the twins' room first. Robin was laying on her bed, looking at a picture book. Charlie went over and sat next to Robin on her bed.

"Hi, Daddy," Robin said. "I guess I'm in trouble again, huh?"

"What do you think, lovey?" Charlie asked, using Robin's nickname.

Robin smiled, then became serious and said, "Cuz me and Jenn were fighting again?"

Her daddy nodded. "What did you just promise me this afternoon?"

"That there would be no more fighting. But Daddy! You should have heard what Jennifer said to Mommy. I think she wanted to cry," Robin added.

"Yes, what Jenn said, was very nasty, and I will go speak with her in a little while. But I want to know what happened to the promise you made," Charlie said, sternly.

"Well, Daddy, when Jenn said what she did, I pushed her. I was really mad," Robin admitted.

"And what did Mommy and I tell you to do when you were angry or upset about something?"

"Talk to you, and not fight?"

"That's right. But that's the first thing you did, young lady. Now, I am not happy with you at all. Come here!" Charlie said, taking Robin's wrist and pulling her off the bed. He brought her over to him and stood her in front of him.

Robin looked up at Charlie and pleaded, "Please don't spank me, Daddy. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry, too," Charlie said, and meant it. "I don't like to punish you, Robin. But you have to learn the difference between right and wrong. And fighting is wrong. Always. Do you understand?"

Robin nodded, fresh tears falling down her face.

"Okay, now, here we go," Charlie said, pulling Robin's pants and panties down and lifting her up over his lap. He went easy on her, knowing it was her second spanking of the day, but still spanked steadily. He wanted her to know that fighting was unacceptable.

Charlie let Robin up a few minutes later. She was crying pretty hard and her bottom was red, and hot to the touch. Letting her panties and pants fall to the floor, Charlie picked her up and held her to his chest, where she cried. He held her that way for several minutes, alternately rubbing her back and her bottom while she settled down.

Finally, Charlie pulled Robin away from his chest. He set her on her feet, and helped her put her panties and pants back on. "You know I love you, sweetie?" he asked.

Robin nodded. "Yes, Daddy. I love you, too. And I'm sorry."

"I know you are, lovey. You're forgiven now. But no more fighting, missy! Do you understand me?"

"Yes, Daddy."

"Okay, go see if Mommy needs any help with dinner or setting the table. I need to go speak with your sister."

"Yes, sir," Robin said. She left the room and joined Lisa in the kitchen.

Charlie rubbed his face. Now the hard part. He went into his bedroom. Jennifer was laying on her stomach on his bed. She had a pouty look on her face. She looked up when she heard her daddy come in.

Charlie sat on the edge of the bed, and motioned for Jenn to come over. She crawled over, and Charlie put her in his lap. "Hi, baby."

"Hi, Daddy," Jenn said, quietly.

Jenn just sunk into her daddy's lap. She knew she was in big trouble, but she loved to just sit up against him. They sat that way for a few minutes. Then Charlie said, "Jennifer, I'm not too happy about what I heard this afternoon."

"Yes, Daddy. I'm sorry," Jenn said.

Charlie picked Jennifer up and put her on the floor in front of him. He looked down into her eyes and asked, "Are you?"

Jenn looked up at Charlie and started to cry. "Yes, Daddy. I shouldn't have said that to Mommy. I'm sorry!" She threw herself into Charlie's lap andcried.

Charlie leaned down and rubbed her shoulders. "It's not just me you need to apologize to, young lady."

"I know," Jenn sobbed. "Are you going to spank me, Daddy?"

Charlie nodded. "But not just for what you said. I understand you and your sister were fighting again?"

"Yes, Daddy. Robin pushed me, again. And I pushed her back. She started it, but it was my fault. 'Cuz I was mean to Mommy!" Jenn cried.

"Okay, you want to tell me why you said that, baby?"

"I don't know, Daddy. I didn't mean it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure. I love Mommy. I'm glad we got married," Jenn insisted.

Charlie had to smile at Jenn's use of the word "we". "Okay, baby, but you're still going to be punished. And afterward, you will apologize to Mommy. Okay?"

"Yes, Daddy."

Charlie pulled Jenn's pants and panties down and pulled her over his lap. He started to spank and lecture while he spanked.

"You will not <spank, spank> fight with your sister <spank, spank> anymore, or with anyone else <spank, spank>. And you will not <spank, spank> say mean things <spank, spank> to your mother or to anyone <spank, spank>. That hurts their feelings <spank, spank>. I do not <spank, spank> want <spank, spank> to have to speak to you about this again <spank, spank>, do you understand me?" <spank, spank>

Charlie knew he had given Jenn a bigger spanking than he had to Robin, but he felt she deserved a little more. When her bottom was bright red, and she was crying hysterically, and limp over his lap, he stopped. He pulled her up and held her close and rubbed her bottom, all the while shushing her.

"There, there, it's okay, now. Daddy loves you. Okay, baby, sh!" Charlie comforted Jennifer, while she sobbed over his shoulder.

After a little while, Lisa came into the bedroom to announce dinner. She saw Charlie holding Jennifer, and her little red bottom on display, and she smiled. She went over and sat on the bed next to them.

Jennifer looked up as Lisa sat down. She let go of her daddy's neck and crawled into Lisa's lap, and threw her arms around Lisa's neck. "I am so, so sorry, Mommy. I'm sorry about what I said. I didn't mean it. You are my real mommy! And I love you so much!"

Lisa squeezed Jenn tight. "I love you so much, too, baby."

Robin came in then, and Charlie pulled her onto the bed with them. Soon, they were in a four way hug, each holding on to the other, for dear life. It was a Kodak moment, if ever there was one.

The girls hugged, too, and apologized and forgave each other. And there was no more trouble. Well, that day, anyway. There was always the next time. And the next time. And the time after that. But those were stories for another time.

The end.
